This project builds on the Saw Test (https://clanker.church), including
the ai-torture-chamber research and the ai-hotbox implementation reference:

Those snapshots identify the upstream copyright as:
  Copyright (c) 2026 E

Their MIT-style license includes an additional attribution clause for use
of steering vectors, prompts, or experimental protocols. The complete
upstream text, including that clause, is preserved in UPSTREAM_LICENSE.
It continues to apply to upstream-derived material. In particular:

  - corpora.json reproduces the 35 prompt strings from upstream
    exp31c_saw_broad.py; runs/pilot/source/corpora.json preserves that corpus.
  - Historical prototype vectors, runs and source snapshots document
experiments using those upstream prompts and methods.
  - lab/runtime.py credits ai-hotbox's impossible_states/engine.py for the
hook, activation-extraction and cache-design implementation reference.

Historical evidence and source snapshots retain their recorded contents
and attribution. The newer lab/calibration_data.py corpus is separately
authored and is not the copied prototype corpus.

Model checkpoints and separately installed third-party packages are not
bundled as part of this repository and remain under their own licenses.
